Happy Summer Church Family!
As we roll out the barbecues (literally), we also are continuing to roll along with the longer term revitalization plan. God definitely has some plans for each of us here at Cole Community Church. Before we go too far into that, we want to extend a thank you to those of you who volunteered to help with the “Made For This” camp this past week. Our God has laid many signs in the world of His touch and the ways we can move, create, and play all reflect his love and passion for each of us, especially joyful children.
We wanted to revisit where we are in the revitalization process, where we are now, and what we see still coming up this summer and into the fall. We wanted to give some reminders of what to expect through the process, and also some information on the facility’s cosmetic changes, (which are going to be included in email, or available this Sunday). Sometimes it’s easy to think that since we have a new lead pastor, that’s that, and we’re good to go. We love Kirk, but he ALONE is not the answer. We together are all part of God’s church, and we each are called to be part of God’s answer to what is next. As we talk through each of these steps and plans as a board, we are reminded over and over of the passion and joy you all share for God’s church, and the willingness to trust in Him into the future.
We believe there is still much more to come, new faces, and new relationships to build. As we take a pause through the summer from various growth groups, let’s keep growing together and building new relationships in the body: Have people over for dinner, meet for coffee, do things together. We believe that as God leads us through each step in the process, it is designed to help our church grow into its next phase of life, as we try to reach those around us for the gospel through loving relationships.
We continue to pray for you all, and ask that you continue to pray for us. “Be Strong and Courageous. Do not be frightened and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you will go.”
