The Elders have more information to share about the timing of the visit to Boise by the Lead Teaching Pastor candidate.  We are excited to have the candidate and his family visit Boise.  However, we encountered some schedule conflicts, including a pre-existing obligation by the candidate and our own Family Camp.  As a result, we determined that the best date for a visit to Boise is August 11-15, which seems like a long time to wait. However, based on experiences with church and school hiring processes, we have learned to trust God in the midst of inconvenient circumstances.  God knows we need a Lead Teaching Pastor and He knew long ago what the timing was going to be.  We can trust Him to take care of us during this process.

The Boise visit includes the Sunday service on August 14th.  The candidate will preach the sermon and then after the service we will have an all-church potluck with the candidate and his family so that we all have an opportunity to get to know each other.   We look forward to getting a better understanding of his shepherd’s heart and the quality of his teaching.  Be sure to mark your calendars for that Sunday.  You won’t want to miss it.
